YOUR DAILY PROMPT
Briefing ID: 26-147
Status: Confidential
For a stretch of my career, I ran a monthly HR metrics review that I was quietly proud of. The slides were clean, the numbers were current, and everyone showed up on time.
It took me longer than I would like to admit to notice what actually happened in that room. For the first forty minutes, I walked through headcount, turnover, time to fill, and open requisitions while people nodded along. In the last ten or fifteen minutes, someone would ask why turnover had jumped in one department, and that was when the real meeting started. We often ran out of time just as the conversation got useful.
Many recurring meetings work this way. Most of the agenda is reporting with information people could read on their own in a few minutes on their own, with little time spent on the discussion about what the numbers mean and what to do next.
A simple dashboard can take over this type of status update reporting. It does not have to be fancy software, since a shared spreadsheet or a one-page summary that updates on a schedule often does the job. Once people can check the numbers anytime, the meeting can shrink to the questions that matter, or sometimes go away entirely.
AI can help you figure out which meeting is the right candidate. Give it the agendas, slides, or notes from a few recent sessions, and it can sort each item into reporting, discussion, or decision, estimate how much of the meeting goes to each, and sketch what a dashboard would need to include. It can also draft the shorter agenda for the meeting that remains.
You still decide what to keep. Some status meetings matter because they bring people together, and some numbers need an explanation that a chart cannot give on its own. That judgment depends on your team and your audience.
Today's brief helps you find the meeting that is mostly reporting and move the reporting somewhere better.

HOW TO USE THIS BRIEF
🧭 Reading an AIQ Brief
Every Master Prompt in AIQ with Paul is written as an AIQ Brief. Each section answers a question AI needs answered before it can do good work for you.

Context tells AI what the situation is and who the work is for. Intent says what the result must accomplish, and Constraints list what cannot change or is off limits. Output describes what good looks like, and Check names what AI should show you and what you will verify before you use the result.
Fill in the brackets, run the brief, and treat the Check section as your to-do list once AI responds.
Take your skills beyond the brief. In my AIQ Advantage™ program, I teach working professionals how to build briefs into reusable workflows, check AI output before it goes out under their name, and decide where AI fits in their work. Learn more at AIQAdvantage.com
