THE DAILY AI INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING
Briefing ID: 26-099
Status: Confidential
Hello, Fellow Human. Time to upgrade.
Did you know that the most dangerous sentence in a contract may be the one that sounds the most boring?
I once skimmed an agreement with exactly the confidence most of us bring to software terms and conditions: confidentiality, confidentiality, legal stuff, signature.
Nothing looked dramatic. There were no flashing warning labels or sentence beginning, "By the way, we're about to make your life considerably more complicated."
But buried in the language was a restriction that went well beyond simply keeping information confidential. Another clause defined intellectual property broadly enough that it deserved a much closer look.
I have learned in my career that while documents like NDAs seem benign, there can be some tricky challenges hidden in the terms.
And it is not that you can’t read and understand them. It's that important distinctions can be buried inside thirty-seven lines of language written to reward very careful readers.
This is where AI can become remarkably useful as your first-pass hazard spotter.
Instead of asking AI, "Is this NDA okay?", give it a narrower job like this:
Identify potentially restrictive clauses
Explain what they appear to do in plain English
Show you the exact language creating the concern
Tell you what questions to take to qualified counsel
That's the human-AI partnership we want where AI does the 90% heavy lifting of scanning, organizing, comparing, and translating and you retain the essential 10% of judgment, risk tolerance, negotiation decisions, and legal review.
One more rule before today's prompt: only upload contracts into an AI environment your organization has approved for confidential or proprietary information. An NDA designed to protect confidential information is a particularly ironic document to paste into an unapproved public AI system. 🤔
Try todays prompt and learn how to give AI a tightly defined role.
Let's go raise your AIQ.

THE MASTER PROMPT
📄 NDA Hazard Spotter

INTEL FROM Q:
Don't ask AI to decide whether a contract is "safe." Give it the narrower job of locating language that deserves human scrutiny, explaining why, and separating observations from legal conclusions.
ROLE
Act as a meticulous contract risk analyst supporting a business professional with a preliminary review of a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
You are performing issue spotting, document analysis, and plain-language explanation — not providing legal advice or making final legal conclusions.
REQUEST
Review the NDA I provide and identify clauses that may deserve closer review, particularly provisions involving:
