THE DAILY AI INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING

Briefing ID: 26-092

Status: Confidential

Hello, Fellow Human. Time to upgrade.

The former CEO I worked for, his name is Litz, would go over the quarterly results in an employee town hall. He had lots of data in charts and graphs and used a lot of acronyms and bank-related phrases. One of our HR employees created a learning guide that was called the Litz Decoder so that everyone could understand what he was talking about.

Hidden in the numbers were some great stories of increased revenue, improved margins, and we were adding the right types of customers to help the bank grow.

But the slides typically showed twelve rows of numbers, five columns of percentages, and enough decimal points to make an actuary reach for coffee. And he would walk through the figures one at a time.

  • “Revenue increased 4.7%.”

  • “Operating costs declined 1.8%.”

  • “Margin improved by 90 basis points.”

Every statement was accurate, but none of it was memorable.

The audience could see the numbers, but they could not see the movement. They did not know what had changed, what had caused it, whether the trend was sustainable, or why they should care.

That is the difference between reporting data and narrating data:

A spreadsheet organizes the facts.

A strong narrative explains the journey.

AI can help you identify the beginning, the turning point, the tension, and the direction of travel. It can connect isolated quarters into a coherent story without turning the finance update into a dramatic television miniseries.

The human still owns the final judgment where you decide which result matters, what context is appropriate, and what claims are defensible. AI performs the heavy lifting of comparison, synthesis, and drafting.

The result is a town hall paragraph that sounds less like someone reading a dashboard and more like a leader explaining what the business is learning.

Do you know someone that could use this? Send them this newsletter and get the popcorn ready for their next town hall! 🍿 🥤
