THE DAILY AI INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING

Briefing ID: 26-104

Status: Confidential

Hello, Fellow Human. Time to upgrade.

Have you ever seen a leadership team spend nearly an entire meeting debating one sentence? I sure have.

It is usually around announcing a significant organizational change where they want to make it sound impactful but not like too much change. There was one time I remember the discussion was about the email headline.

One executive wanted to call it a transformation, someone from HR preferred evolution, and operations liked simplification. And somewhere in the conversation, the phrase unlocking enterprise synergies appeared, which is usually a reliable indicator that ordinary humans have left the building.

The problem was that we were evaluating the message from the sender's chair and not what the employees would hear and understand.

  • Transformation might sound exciting to executives and threatening to someone wondering whether their job changes next month.

  • Simplification might sound efficient to Finance and suspicious to a team that has lived through three restructurings.

  • Growth sounds terrific until employees interpret it as, “We're about to ask you to do more with less.”

This is where AI can become surprisingly useful.

Before you polish the announcement, ask AI to generate five genuinely different ways to position the exact same initiative. Then make it switch hats and evaluate each one through the eyes of employees.

  • Which creates the least unnecessary anxiety?

  • Which feels most credible?

  • Which explains what's changing without pretending nothing is being lost?

  • Which gives employees a reason to lean in instead of immediately putting up their defenses?

You're not asking AI to manipulate people into accepting something they shouldn't. You're using it as a communication simulator so your human judgment has more options to evaluate.

That's the 90/10 advantage in action: AI does the rapid drafting, comparison, and pressure-testing and you make the final call based on culture, history, ethics, and what employees actually need to hear.

Try this use of AI and I bet you see a much better chance of choosing the right one before the microphone turns on.

Let's go raise your AIQ.
