THE DAILY AI INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING

Briefing ID: 26-117

Status: Confidential

Hello, Fellow Human. Time to upgrade.

A good friend recently asked me to review a service offering they were about to publish. As I looked it over, I noticed a familiar problem where everything sounded useful, professional, and sensible, yet most of the language described problems at a very high level, like:

  • Improve efficiency

  • Save time

  • Increase productivity

  • Reduce costs

While these may all be true, none of those statements tell me what somebody is actually wrestling with at 10:17 on a Tuesday morning and that is what really matters to your customers.

A buyer may tell you that their team needs to “improve efficiency,” while their daily reality looks much more specific where a manager spends 40 minutes chasing updates before a weekly meeting or someone copies numbers from three systems into a spreadsheet because the tools do not talk to each other. Perhaps a sales leader keeps rewriting the same proposal sections because nobody trusts the template.

Those little frustrations rarely appear in a strategic plan, yet they shape how people experience their work. And fortunately for you, they can also give you some of your best clues for improving a product, service, process, training program, or consulting offer.

AI is surprisingly useful because it can examine a customer profile and generate a broad set of plausible friction points quickly. The important part is giving it enough context and then forcing it past the obvious answers.

That means asking about repeated tasks, awkward handoffs, workarounds, delays, rework, approval problems, information gaps, and things people have simply learned to tolerate.

You are looking for the problems customers may no longer describe as problems because they have become part of the job.

Once you see those clearly, your service design gets much more interesting. Give today’s prompt a try and see what you uncover. 🔎
